Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has announced that BRIM program will be continued on recent Budget 2015 presentation. The new 1 Malaysia people’s aid scheme will be named BR1M 4.0. The BRIM 4.0 aid is upgraded a few different payment schemes compared to previous payout to household and single individuals. As Barisan National government is aware of difficulties that Rakyat is facing, the minimum eligibility of BR1M aid has been raised to RM 4,000 montly income per household.

|Household income RM 3,000 to RM 4,000||RM 750|
|Single individual 21 years old and above income < RM 2,000||RM 350|
As for BR1M 4.0, the lead family member shall receive RM 950 for family with household income below RM 3,000. Family with household income between RM 3,000 and RM 4,000 shall receive RM 750 aid. A RM 350 aid will be given to single individuals that are over 21 years old.
As for family recipients, the allocation for BR1M 4.0 will be disbursed to families who are eligible in 3 separated payments. This move is to deter unwise spending by recipients of the aids once the money is received. The payment will be allocated to eligible recipients on the month of January, May and September on 2015.For single individual recipients with monthly income below RM 2,000, the money will be disbursed on January.
Family and individual who has successfully applied for BR1M during the previous allocation need not apply for the latest BR1M aid, however recipients are advised . Application can be done offline and online.
Family Bereavement Scheme
The i-BR1M or Takaful insurance will be replaced with Family Bereavement Scheme. Next of kin will receive RM 1,000 in the unfortunate event. The scheme will be valid from 1st of January 2015 to 31st of December 2015
