Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has announced that BRIM program will be continued on recent Budget 2017 presentation. The new 1 Malaysia people’s aid scheme will be named BR1M 2017. The BRIM 2017 aid is upgraded a few different payment schemes compared to previous payout to household and single individuals.
|Ekasih Household income (e-kasih) < RM 1,000||RM 1,200|
|Household income < RM 3,000||RM 1,200|
|Household income RM 3,000 to RM 4,000||RM 900|
|Single individual 21 years old and above income < RM 2,000||RM 450|
As for BR1M 2017, the lead family member shall receive RM 1,200 for family with household income below RM 3,000. Family with household income between RM 3,000 and RM 4,000 shall receive RM 900 aid. A RM 450 aid will be given to single individuals that are over 21 years old.

Family and individual who has successfully applied for BR1M during the previous allocation need not apply for the latest BR1M aid, however recipients are advised to update their application. Family Bereavement Scheme
The i-BR1M or Takaful insurance will be replaced with Family Bereavement Scheme. Next of kin will receive RM 1,000 in the unfortunate event. The scheme will be valid from 1st of January 2017 to 31st of December 2017
